CABLE CLAMP Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; locking devices for railway cars and containers. SUBSTANCE: cable clamp has body 1 with axial holes for cable 9 and inner space accommodating spring-loaded separator 3 with stop members in form of solids of revolution engaging with cable. Bushing 12 with longitudinal slots 13 for stop members is arranged in body between its inlet and outlet holes and inside axial cylindrical hole of separator. Inlet hole of body can be made star-like to suit shape of cable cross-section. Free end of cable is passed through eyes of locking unit and axial hole of body to compress separator spring. Stop members prevent pulling out of cable. They engage with conical space of body and deform walls of bushing 12 precluding access inside clamp. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of lock. 2 cl, 3 dwg
