FIELD: exploration and development of space. SUBSTANCE: satellite is provided with radar sensor for external bodies along with infra-red sensor. Electromagnetic waves are radiated by radar sensor into space beyond Earth. Both sensors are supplied with power in turn. After receiving the electromagnetic waves reflected from external bodies, satellite is shifted to safe orbit. To this end, engines of satellite are started again after preliminary sorting the external bodies by criteria: design point of rendezvous and impact energy of bodies. Invention contains description of functioning algorithms and separate components of spacecraft where proposed method is realized. EFFECT: maintenance of survivability of spacecraft due to avoidance of collision with dangerous external bodies, meteors inclusive. 3 cl, 4 dwg
