GROUND COMPACTION MACHINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: construction machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine is used in building of earth structures filled layer by layer from cohesive earth. Machine has roller with smooth rolls. Roller is provided with compacting attachment. By means of this attachment freshly filled layer of earth is undercut and by belt conveyor installed inside attachment body is delivered to slot arranged between conveyor driving drum and roll of roller. Here layer of earth is compressed to required density and in the form of strip is placed onto earlier compacted ground base. This allows for reducing number of passes of machine over same trace by several times. Application of aforesaid embodiment of ground compaction machine cuts power inputs in ground compaction operations. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
