DEVICE FOR ITEM-BY-ITEM DELIVERY OF RAIL BASEPLATES FROM PILE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; maintenance and repair of permanent way; mechanization of rail length assembling at machine stations. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has system of conveyors installed one after the other, with speed of following conveyor exceeding that of preceding conveyor. Device has primary separator in form of spatial skeleton accommodating rigidly secured shaft-hopper made in form of cylinder with conical bottom installed for displacement in vertical by means of hydraulic cylinder mounted under bottom and joined with base of spatial skeleton. Ring ramp in form of truncated cone, ring chute rigidly secured on spatial skeleton coaxially with shaft-hopper under ring ramp, rotor with blades freely resting on bottom of ring chute and set into motion of beams of cog drive from motor installed on skeleton are mounted on upper cut of shaft-hopper. Bottom of ring chute has diametrically opposite ports. Two pyramids are installed on ring ramp opposite to ring chute ports, bases of pyramids being equal in length to that of ports. EFFECT: dispensing with manual labour when delivering rail baseplates from pile to track skeleton assembly line. 2 dwg
