METHOD FOR BUILDING OF MULTISTORY UNDERGROUND STRUCTURE WITH SIMULTANEOUS EXCAVATION OF BASIN Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to erection of underground multistory structures for any application, of any dimensions and configuration in plan. At beginning of realization of method, made in ground is wall for guarding of structure, piles are installed, trench is excavated with ramp which is deepened below design position of first interstory covering. Upper covering is created, and opening is left in it above ramp. Then basin is excavated in stages. At each stage of work, except final stage, central part of basin is developed down to level of depth of pioneer trench. In zones adjoining over perimeter to guarding wall, surface of ground is gradually lowered down to level of current interstory covering, and created in these zones is circular covering strip. Circular strip transmits load from wall to piles closest to it. In aforesaid zones, possible is additional installation of struts between wall and piles closest to it. Then remaining part of covering is erected with leaving opening in it above ramp of pioneer trench which is preliminarily deepened below next lower-lying covering. At final stage, ground is excavated over entire area of basin, foundation slab is built, ramp is removed, and openings in coverings are closed. Aforesaid method is technologically simple, it allows for shortening of construction periods due to combining in time operations of excavating basin and erection of structure.
