FIELD: suspensions of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has body and hollow piston installed in it and coupled to body by means of rod. Pistons form adjacent cavities communicating with each other by channels through switch-and-valve system containing auxiliary cavity formed on external surface of body or hollow piston. This cavity accommodates spring-loaded shut-off member made as ring dividing auxiliary cavity into two parts, each being coupled to corresponding piton cavities. Assembly which controls valve system operation contains electronic switch, sensor of equal or different pressures and pickup of variation of piston motion direction.
