FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: shock-absorber has housing, hollow rod with a piston, hollow piston, commutating-valving systems received in both pistons, and guide member secured in the hollow piston. The commutating-valving system discharges gas when pistons change the direction of movement. The guide member is mounted for permitting movement inside the hollow rod. Each system can be made up as through passages and plates with tags. The plates can close the passages and are spring-loaded in the axial and lateral directions. The tags of the plates interact with corresponding teeth made on the hollow rod and guide member. In addition, the guide member can be made as hollow one for operation in vertical position. In this case, the hollow piston is partially filled with lubricant, and a spring-loaded check valve is mounted at the bottom part of the hollow guide member. The valve provides supplying lubricant into the space of the guide member. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 5 dwg
