FIELD: reducing temperature of water transferring heat form heat-exchange apparatus. SUBSTANCE: cavity of cooling tower is provided with additional water catcher made in form of vertical parallel strips mounted at some distance from one another. Strips are made from electric conducting material. Partitions are symmetrically mounted between strips and housing of tower. These partitions of sections parallel of wires laid in height and insulated from surface of tower; they are mounted at spaced relation and have small radius of curvature of surfaces. At one end, they are connected to DC source; strips and partitions are secured to opposite ends of tower housing; grounded electric conducting material engageable with strips is secured over perimeter of tower surface within height of strips. EFFECT: reduced emission of moisture from cooling tower into atmosphere over entire transversal section of tower. 6 cl, 7 dwg
