FIELD: medicine, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on determination of antibodies to antigens of M. leprae in patients blood serum by an immunoenzymatic analysis. Antibodies to antigens of M. leprae exhibiting cross-reaction with antigens of M. leprae by counter immunoelectrophoresis are determined additionally. The presence of M. leprae in patient body with the disease regression is determined in the case of the presence of indicated antibodies in blood serum. Method promotes to the correction of chemotherapy in persons with persistence foci and epidemiological measures where infected patient resides.
