SELF-SUSTAINED PULSE SOURCE OF SEISMIC SIGNALS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: geophysics, excitation of pulses in liquid medium in prospecting for mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: self-sustained pulse source of seismic signals has hydraulic chamber made in the form of elastic envelope and rigid pneumatic chamber separated by piston which is fitted with fixing unit. Fixing unit of piston is manufactured in the form of restoring collet resting with tabs against collar of guard ring that has conical surface. Source makes it possible to shorten time for generation of next pulse in liquid medium, for instance, in fluid-filled well as there is no necessity to bring source to surface and to charge it. EFFECT: shortened time for generation of identical pulses in liquid medium and control over power of pulse. 4 dwg
