Tube has hollow conducting envelope, pair of insulating end plates, and central conductor whose longitudinal axis is parallel to direction of signal transmission. Ratio of envelope inner diameter D to outer diameter of central conductor varies within inner space of envelope which ensures matching of impedances of arrester and coaxial transmission line.
