SUBSTANCE: electrosurgical apparatus has an emitting tip for delivering electromagnetic energy to biological tissues and is located in a catheter. The electrosurgical apparatus is configured to move relative to the catheter between the working position, wherein the emitting part of the tip is extended, and the retracted position, wherein the emitting part is located inside the catheter. Thus, the emitting tip part can be retracted until use. This can facilitate the insertion of the apparatus through the instrument channel of the surgical vision apparatus. In particular, this can prevent the engagement of the emitting tip part of the instrument channel when the apparatus is inserted into the instrument channel, which can damage the instrument channel and/or the emitting tip part.

EFFECT: reduced risk of damaging the instrument channel and/or the emitting tip part when inserting the apparatus.
