FIELD: food-processing equipment, in particular, equipment for grain forming under pressure and heating conditions to produce puffed grain. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has two immovable plates interconnected through guides on which movable plates are mounted. Upper heating head is fixed on upper immovable plate and lower heating head is fixed on lower movable plate. Ring defining volume of heating chamber, formed between ring and lower heating head, is mounted on upper movable plate. Linkage mechanism serves as drive for lower heating head. Lower plate is positioned so as to be fixed in predetermined position and drive is positioned for displacement relative to lower plate. Such construction allows leverage mechanism with its simplified transmission links to be employed as single drive for all units of apparatus, including grain dosage device and device for pushing out ready product.
