FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves separating uterus from vagina along a line having obtuse angle in the middle of the vagina. The angle is open towards abdominal cavity. Draining tube is set into the vagina stump through the angle. Anterior and posterior stump walls are sutured to one another with three harelip sutures on each side of the drain. Lateral sutures are fixed to stumps of cardinal ligaments and middle and medial sutures are fixed to stumps of round ligament of the uterus and infundibulopelvic ligaments.
