FIELD: methods of examination of patients with traumatologic and orthopedic diseases, in particular, determination of geometric parameters of deformed foot, value of shortening of one lower extremity relative to the other, measurement of distribution of load on extremities. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in determination of foot deformation by plotting a plantogram. The patient is placed in a vertical position with a support on both extremities on two supporting platforms, the load on each extremity is measured, the spine iliaca anterior superiors are levelled up at a simultaneous maximum tight contact of plantar surfaces of feet with the supporting platforms and minimum difference in load on extremities, the supporting platforms are fixed, and the necessary correction of defects of extremities is determined according to their final position. The device has two supporting platforms with vertical posts installed on them. The supporting platforms are made of transparent material secured in a framework. Four vertical posts of the supporting platforms are made in the form of abutment screws furnished with drives and measuring scales, the upper part of the abutment screws is positioned in nuts. EFFECT: complex examination of patients with orthopedic diseases and accomplishment of necessary correction of defects of extremities at manufacture of individual orthopedic footwear. 5 cl, 1 dwg
