SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology. Method includes wearing footwear with sole that compensates shortening of the length of shorter extremity. Anatomically shorter foot is detected. In case if difference in feet length exceeding 4 mm is detected, first footwear with sole of insole exceeding 1/2 of value of difference in feet length is worn on the extremity with shorter foot. If it is comfortable to wear said footwear, there is no pain and feeling of stiffness in joints of the shorter extremity, thickness of sole is increased to 3/2 of difference of feet length.
EFFECT: method compensates deficit of length of anatomically shorter extremity.
