FIELD: transport engineering; recording of car derailing. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method acceleration of unsprung parts of vehicle, one of which is vertical, the other is cross, is measured and converted into electric signals with subsequent separation of low-frequency components. Then signals are processed and compared with reference levels and if signals exceed reference levels, control braking signal is formed. Simultaneously vehicle running speed is measured and analog continuous signal is generated to comply with this speed. Signal is converted into discrete sequence with preset quantization step. "Tie" frequency and "near-tie" frequency bands are determined with due account of tie spacing. Low-frequency components of acceleration signals are converted into discrete sequence of signals with indicated quantization step for which energy spectrums are calculated with subsequent evaluation of energies in "near-tie" frequency bands. Within the limits of "near-tie" band, Indicated energies are compared with reference levels in form of energy of acceleration signals appearing at standard running of vehicle. EFFECT: enhanced safety of traffic.
