FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: proposed cast iron has components at the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon 2.5-2.9; silicon 2.2-8.2; manganese 0.47-0.9; zirconium 0.2-6.17; phosphorus 0.1-0.15; sulfur 0.02-0.05; chrome 0-0.13; nickel 0-0.14, and iron - the rest. Addition of zirconium provides the graphite grinding and its improved uniform distribution in perlite.
