METHOD FOR DETERMINING FUNCTIONAL STATE OF HEMOSTASIS SYSTEM Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood samples before and after creating short-term local ischemia state with following anticoagulant mixed to blood. The mixture is centrifuged stage-by-stage first producing plasma that is rich in blood platelets and then one that is deficient in blood platelets. The samples are incubated, aggregation inductor is added to samples and parameter is determined describing aggregation before and after creating short-term local ischemia state. The so obtained results being compared, functional state of hemostasis system is thought to be evaluated. Aggregation inductor is added first in lower and than in higher end concentration and the corresponding aggregation degrees are recorded and maximum aggregation speeds before and after creating short-term local ischemia state are calculated independently in cases of greater and lower aggregation inductor concentration and their ratios are determined. The so obtained ratio values are interpreted as normal functional state of hemostasis system when the ratios are greater than or equal to 1, hypercoagulation disorder in functional state of hemostasis system when the ratios are less than 1, functional state disorder of hemostasis system and high risk of post-operation hemorrhage when one ration is greater than or equal to 1 and the other one is less than 1. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy in predicting hemorrhagic diathesis development in the operation intervention region.
