FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves attaching cystotonometry device to urethral catheter in postoperative period. Urinary bladder is filled with sterile washing solution heated to 37 C, through the second catheter canal. Filling rate is equal to 20ml/min. Maximum vesicle tenesmus being reached, maximum physiological capacity of the urinary bladder is to be determined. The examination is repeated every 8-24 h. Maximum physiological capacity of the urinary bladder 1.5 times exceeding the initial one, urinary bladder physiological capacity hyperreflection reduction is considered to take place and urethral catheter removal is shown to be indicated. EFFECT: reduced risk of complications in postoperative period.
