FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing clinical instrumental examination of a patient. Social characteristics are recorded like age, presence of concomitant pathologic changes, evaluated quality of life, time of lost ability for work, kind of job done after medical treatment. Characteristics of instrumental examination like prostate mass, residual urine quantity, cicatricial sclerotic changes specific, urination volume rate, specific growth of prostate lobes, urinary bladder muscles tension ratio are evaluated. Three-level scale is used for determining components of health coefficient. Medical treatment type is selected depending on the coefficient magnitude as conservative treatment, laser ablation of prostate, transurethral prostate resection, adenomectomy. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in selecting treatment type for individual patient.
