FIELD: assembling and riveting operations, possibly by means of stem rivets. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of compressing pack of riveted parts, drilling hole in it and counterboring seat for flush head; arranging rivet in drilled hole; placing ends of rivet stem in openings of fixture and upsetting it at maintaining initial diameter of ends in order to create radial interference in opening of pack; forming closing heads of rivet and creating radial interference in zone of counterboring seat. It is realized by rolling out process that needs less deformation efforts than pressure riveting. Then protruded portion of flush head is trimmed. When high demands are made to interference value in zone of counterboring seat protruded portions of rivet stem are preliminarily upset after creating interference in opening of pack. EFFECT: lowered riveting effort, possibility of separate control of interference values in zone of cylindrical portion of pack opening and seat. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex
