SPECIAL TANK-CAR SPRINKLER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; carriage of inert gases in tanks. SUBSTANCE: plant for sprinkling special tank-car 1 has tank-car 2 with washing liquid, for instance, water, or water-salt solution, sprinkler 3 communicating with tank-car containing washing liquid through suction branch pipe, and compressed air source, for instance, cylinder, 9 with compressed air connected to brake main line through check valve 22. Sprinkler 3 is system of perforated pipes arranged along generating surface of special tank-car barrel. Compressed air source is connected to distributing reducer 11 communicating through pipeline with tank-car containing washing liquid and with special tank-car. If tightness of special tank-car is violated and pressure in car drops, distributing reduced 11 operates, and washing liquid is supplied by compressed air from cylinder 9 through sprinkler 3 into tank-car 1.
