FIELD: histology. SUBSTANCE: morphometric identification of mast cells of rat uterine mesentery involving quantitative image analysis computer system makes it possible, using light microscope, to display mast cells of membranous apparatus of uterine mesentery on personal computer screen and preferentially perform integrated quantitative analysis from various linear and area parameters in order to obtain, after interactive data processing, absolute linear and area (perimeter, area, length, width, X- and Y-projection values) and relative (elongation, equivalent radius, orientation, rotundity, compactness) values for mesometrial mast cells in different secretory cycle phases. EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluation dynamics of secretory activity of mesometrial mast cells.
