FIELD: measurement of temperatures in zone of contact of members moving relative to each other; study of friction modes of different materials at different processes of machining their surfaces. SUBSTANCE: device includes unit of drive, friction zone study unit, shaft rotational speed measuring and stabilization unit and filtration unit for separation of thermoelectromotive force and triboelectromotive force. Movable member of friction pair performs two kinds of rotary motion simultaneously: around axis of drive and around its own axis of rotation which is shifted relative to axis of drive. Spring for adjusting the force of hold-down by preload is mounted along axis of rotation of movable member of friction pair. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurement of temperatures in friction zone by method of natural thermocouple at constant rate of friction; possibility of control of hold-down force of friction members. 1 dwg
