FIELD: examination of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: special geophysical cable having one or more electrically insulated current carrying conductors is covered with layers of additional armor and polymer. Cable can be produced combined. In this case upper part of it has diameter from 10.2 to 22.3 mm and lower part of it has diameter from 28.0 to 38.0 mm and cable includes two additional layers of armor between outer and intermediate sheathes of polymer material. In this case there can be no third and fourth layers of armor on section of lower part from cable end. EFFECT: such cable shows increased breaking strength and stiffness with preservation of required flexibility, makes it possible to conduct operations in vertical and horizontal holes, allows usage of pushing devices and shaft sealing systems. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
