FIELD: converting facilities. SUBSTANCE: reversible converter has two-phase thyristor bridges with spontaneous switching, each shunting by fully controlled key and furnished with diode arm. Load is connected between additional diode arms of indicated bridges. Device can be used as reversible rectifier or frequency converter. EFFECT: m/2-time reduction of number of diodes and fully controlled keys at constant number of reverse-blocking thyristors and preservation of power and dynamic characteristics. 2 dwg
