FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has chamber for bringing blood and perfluorocarbon in engagement. The chamber is connected to nipples for supplying and discharging flow of blood under treatment. Contact space of the chamber is filled with porous filler as block or as membrane manufactured from the same material. The membrane is folded in layers or rolled so that canals for blood to pass through are formed. The Contact space is separated from the nipples with collectors form uniformly distributing blood flow under treatment over the contact space cross- section and for collecting the processed blood. The method involves filling the contact space with perfluorocarbon liquid(perfluordecalin). Its excess is forced out from big pores or canals using air or oxygen flow. Then the blood flow under treatment is passed through at the rate of 200 ml/min. Capillary pressure of the liquid in pores is 2.5-3 times as low when compared to working pressure in the blood flow under treatment. The porous membrane and filler are manufactured from non-thrombogenic and hydrophobic material of polytetrafluorethylene (pore size of 2-40 mcm) wetted by perfluorocarbon liquid.
