FIELD: gas-cleaning and dust removal plants. SUBSTANCE: electrostatic precipitator has aerodynamic partitions made in the form of curvilinear cylindrical surfaces, whose convex side faces the air flow. Partitions at the inlet consist of two parts facing each other symmetrically relative to the passage axis, forming a slot, and partitions at the outlet are so installed that they form a slot around the edges of the passage. Partitions at the inlet are made so that the relation between the radius of curvature of the cylindrical surface element and the interelectrode space of the electrostatic precipitator makes up 3/4 to 17/32, and for partitions at the outlet the relation between the length of their rectilinear section and the interelectrode space makes up 1/3 to 2/3. The relation between the free cross-sectional area of the partition installed at the outlet and the free cross-sectional area of the partition at the inlet makes up 2.0 to 3.0. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of electrostatic precipitator due to minimizing of shadow zones, improvement of their regeneration. 4 cl, 3 dwg
