FIELD: tyre industry. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, WORN-OUT tyres are loaded into reactor and are subsected to decomposition at temperature of 550-800 C in reducing gas, ratio of reducing gas-to-tyre material being 0.20-0.45:1. Products of decomposition are separated and solid residue is discharged. Decomposition finished, overheated steam at temperature of 250-300 C in amount of 0.03-0.12 : 1 to charge material is delivered to material. Reducing gas is obtained by incomplete burning of hydrocarbons at (α = 0,4-0,85.. EFFECT: reduced power taken for decomposition, simplified reprocessing of WORN-OUT tyres, possibility of getting improved quality soot for reuse in production of rubber mixes. 3 cl, 1 dwg
