FIELD: railway transport; tanks-cars used for transportation of liquid products, such as oil-and-chemical and oil refining products. SUBSTANCE: outer surface of car is wetted first with alkaline water solution and then is subjected to washing from inside with water steam until temperature of outer surface reaches 70-95 C and water in alkaline solution evaporates. Then outer surface is subjected to washing, when surface is still not, by means of water jet under pressure to remove dirt.
