FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, more specifically, preparation of burden materials in blast-furnace and steel melting production processes and separation of graphite for its use in various branches of national economy. SUBSTANCE: method of processing of slag-graphite-metal wastes includes their grinding, accumulation and selection, screening and grading into fractions and transferring for magnetic separation. Wastes of 0-10 mm fraction is withdrawn by vacuum cleaner. Suspended graphite is settled and separated. Remaining material is treated by aeration. Flake graphite adsorbed on metal particle surface is separated and withdrawn. Remaining slag-metal mixture is transferred for magnetic separation. Prior to withdrawal of wastes, and/or in course of their withdrawal, material is additionally loosened by blasting or by pneumatic or hydraulic methods. Device for embodiment of claimed method has collected pit, means for withdrawal and transfer of material, station of grinding, screening and grading, electromagnetic separator, and also settling chamber, accumulating bunker and aeration separator. Means of withdrawal and transfer of material is used in form of vacuum cleaner. In this case, settling chamber is connected with vacuum cleaner and aeration separator, and provided with branch pipe in its upper part for withdrawal of settled carbon into accumulating bunker. Aeration separator is provided with exhaust hood connected with accumulating bunker and hatch for supply of material to electromagnetic separator. Settling chamber, accumulating bunker and aeration separator are installed between vacuum cleaner and electromagnetic separator. EFFECT: increased production of graphite more cheap and of high quality as compared with natural one, involved large quantities of wastes in production, and increased efficiency of metallurgical production. 7 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl
