SUBSTANCE: rail steel comprises, wt %: carbon 0.69-0.82; manganese 0.60-1.05; 0.18-0.45 silicon; vanadium, 0.04-0.10; nitrogen, 0.008-0.020; aluminium, 0.005-0.02-; titanium, 0.003-0.010; calcium 0.002-0.010 magnesium 0.003-0.007; nickel, 0.05-0.30; copper 0.05- 0.30; sulfur, 0.005-0.010; phosphorus, not higher than 0.025, and iron, the balance. Total amount of chromium, and copper does not exceed 0.65 wt % and ratio of calcium and sulfur is within 0.4-2.0.
