METHOD OF APPLICATION OF ZINC COATING BY SHERARDIZING WITH USE OF HOT PROCESS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: thermochemical treatment of metals and alloys; applicable in chemical industry, instrumentation engineering and in mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading of article or article lot into retort of turning electric furnace; filling of saturating mixture into retort; sealing of retort and its heating up to temperature of 150-200 C; release of retort pressure; sealing again of retort, its heating to temperature above 300 C required for maintaining the process of sherardizing; holding at this temperature for preset time needed for formation of coating of preset thickness; unloading of article. Used for saturation is mixture containing not more than 99% of zinc. Pressure release form retort to atmosphere is done with use of filter. EFFECT: simplified process, reduced process duration with provision of high quality of diffusion coating within a wide range of its thickness (5-100 mcm). 3 cl, 4 dwg
