FIELD: manufacture of knitted products, in particular, clothing with at least one pocket. SUBSTANCE: method involves knitting rectangular fabric with two long sides and two short sides up to the zone where pocket is be knitted; knitting length of fabric for two sides of pockets; knitting final part of rectangular knitted fabric on single or twin platform or combination of such platforms; folding knitted fabric in at least two points in parallel with short sides of fabric for forming rear and side parts of clothing. Fabric is knitted up to the point of pocket location by means of knitting needles on single or twin platform or combination of such platforms. Piece of fabric for manufacture of pocket sides is knitted on single platform. Method further involves knitting edge adjoining pocket opening; connecting two sides of each pocket along joint lines; making arm openings in each side part of knitted fabric. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced labor intensity due to decreased manual work for producing knitted article with pockets. 1 dwg
