FIELD: radar measurements, applicable for identification of air targets. SUBSTANCE: the method provides for illumination of flying vehicle selected for identification by trains of pulse signals, in which every pulse has a definite polarization differing from the others, reception of the reflected signals and their analysis making it possible to form a polarization portrait of target used as an information sign of identification.
