FIELD: railway transport; speed vehicle brakes. SUBSTANCE: shoe brake has pneumatic cylinders with spring-loaded rods carrying brake shoes and mounted on bogie frame and connected with brake main line. Shoe is installed for displacement along frame vertical brackets and locking in inoperative position by locking unit connected with one of above-indicated cylinders. Locking unit is made in form of block-cylinder and clamp locking the shoe through spring, both being hinge-mounted on frame. Release of clamp is provided by block-cylinder through which above-indicated pneumatic cylinder is connected to brake main line. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of locking brake shoe in inoperative position. 2 cl, 3 dwg
