FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described are new perfluorodioxols of formula I wherein RF is perfluoroalkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and X1 and X2 are the same and different from each other and are F or CF3. EFFECT: new class of perfluorodioxoles makes it possible to prepare homopolymers having superior mechanical properties and good thermal stability, are suitable for coating of electric cable by extrusion from melt. Also described is method of preparing compounds of formula I, perfluorodioxole homopolymers and copolymers and thermally processible tetrafluoroethylene copolymers.
