FIELD: heat processing of different solid carboniferous fuels used in metallurgical and coal-tar chemical industry branches. SUBSTANCE: furnace for calcining solid fuel includes heat treatment chamber, vertical heating ducts with dividing walls thickened in their lower portions, brick made refractory roof of heating system using lock- and groove-type bricks, duct for assembling smoke products arranged in roof. Width of assembling duct consists 25-40% of thickness of heating system roof. Lock-type bricks define dimension of upper and lower cross section of assembling duct. Groove-type bricks are placed at least by two rows along horizontal section of roof. EFFECT: increased service life period of furnace, reduced quantity of waste gases. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
