FIELD: mechanical engineering; timing system of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: working part of spool is made conical terminating in support bead on expanded part. Inner side of spool bead rests on end face surface of spool sleeve. It plays the part of support, seal and sliding bearing, limiting free axial displacement of spool inside sleeve and maintaining required microclearance between sleeve and spool. EFFECT: improved serviceability, prevention of spool wedging, preservation of compression in engine cylinder by maintaining stable clearance between sleeve and cone. 3 cl, 1 dwg
