FIELD: accumulation, storage and release of heat during start in cooling system of automobile engine. SUBSTANCE: heat accumulator has double-walled housing with horizontal longitudinal axis, with heat-transfer agent inlet and outlet branch pipes located coaxially along horizontal longitudinal axis. Heat accumulating capsules are made in form of cylinders mounted in transversal diaphragms with segment shears which are opposite at adjacent diaphragms. Ends of heat accumulating capsules are fixed by means of transversal perforated partitions. These partitions have holes made in their upper-portion and in diaphragms whose segment shears are directed downward. Heat accumulator is also provided with inclined tube fitted in cavity formed by bottom of inner wall of housing and partition. Upper end of this tube is located in area of additional holes made in partition and is lower end is used for communicating the cavity where it is mounted with cavity of heat-transfer outlet branch pipe.
