FIELD: study of joint action of fatigue and surface wear on longevity of samples. SUBSTANCE: proposed machine includes two parts: mechanism for fatigue loading and system for friction loading. Mechanism for fatigue loading has two levers of dynamometer, one of them being anchored on frame with the use of joint, the other one being linked via bearing to slider that makes reciprocating motions. System for friction loading is made of two hinged horizontal levers, one of them being located above tested sample and the other one being placed below tested sample, two countersamples fixed on horizontal levers for rotation about axes located in plane of motion of levers of dynamometers, suspensions and weights arranged on edges of horizontal levers.
