SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sustained-release pharmaceutical compositions containing at least one gamma-hydroxybutyric acid salt as an active component and pharmaceutically acceptable cation that are useful for oral intake for treatment of patients with alcoholism, opium addiction, heroinism, food and nicotinic addiction, depressive states and pathological fear states. Compositions consist of the core as granules and tablets containing the basic active substance dispersed in the special cellulose matrix and, optionally, film protective core coating.
