JACKING-UP DEVICE WITH SUPPORT WEDGE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; maintenance of materials handling and diagnostic devices; servicing and repair of wheeled vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed device is designed for jacking-up front axles of trucks and wheeled tractors, except for vehicles with wheel arrangement 3x2, and for one-by-one jacking-up of front and rear axles of above-indicated vehicles with wheel arrangement 4x4. device can be used for servicing and repair of vehicles both in garage and in the field. Device furnished with supporting and jacking-up wedge members provides engagement of beam of front or rear axle of moving vehicle with fixed wedge. As a result, jacking-up of axle (or axle, one by one, of vehicles with wheel arrangement 4x4) is provided by support wedges under action of motive force, inertia and weight of serviced vehicle. Proposed device is simple in design and requires low energy for its operation. EFFECT: reduced time taken for jacking-up which takes several seconds. 4 cl, 2 dwg
