FIELD: testing and technical diagnosis of machines, specifically, measurement of maximum pulling force on hook of motor vehicle, mainly, tractor. SUBSTANCE: gear can be used to test crawler and wheel pulling and transportation machines. Gear is made of bearing-braking plate with hooks, pulling-braking device in the form of rest in base with cylinder, power spring, rod and pulley. Usage of half-crawler separable device is possible while testing wheel tractors. Gear can be equipped with measuring bar with coupling making it possible to record measured value automatically in addition to measurement rule. Gear is set in initial position under action of spring. Gear can conduct pull testing of machines under condition of start from rest. Gear makes it possible to determine general technical condition of motor vehicle by maximum pulling force at its hook and of its brakes, clutch and engine.
