HYDROGEN-VAPOR AIR-INJECTION ROTARY-VANE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2140549 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; stationary and automotive installations. SUBSTANCE: engine has two identical sections: compressor and engine ones. Three parallel "groove" - type chambers are made in rotor of engine section, two extreme chambers serving for intake compressed air from compressor section, and middle chamber serves for intake of fuel. Engine operates on safe fuel-hydrogen received at hydrolysis of water in electrolyzer. "U" and "L" shaped electrodes of electrolyzer are made as packs of perforated sheet copper and nickel plated pressure gauze with body-porous carbon-graphite electrodes placed in between. "L"-shaped electrodes are connected to supply source. EFFECT: possibility of creating ecologically clean engine without high energy consumption for electrolysis. 3 dwg
