Ambient air is mixed up only with some portion of exhaust gas which is passed through burner ducts 8 as secondary working gas or higher-level gas. Remaining part of exhaust gases is admitted to boiler space over path bypassing boiler 20. Highest output of system is attained when amount of ambient air mixed up with part of exhaust gases passed through burner is such that mixture contains almost minimal amount of oxygen required for complete and steady combustion of chosen fuel with greatest proportion of exhaust gases being conveyed to boiler space bypassing burner and with amount of fuel being sufficient to attain desired temperature at boiler inlet during fuel combustion.
