FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production, particularly, to exhaust gas circulation in internal combustion engines. The proposed method of operating the ICE running on gaseous fuel comprises the following stages, i.e. directing sucked in charge from the intake line into the engine combustion chamber, compressing sucked in fuel inside aforesaid chamber, direct injection of gaseous fuel into compressed sucked in charge inside the combustion chamber at over 12 MPa, igniting gaseous fuel, combusting gaseous fuel, directing exhaust gas from the combustion chamber into exhaust line, and directing a fraction of exhaust has into the intake line. The next sucked in charge contains a preset amount of exhaust gas. Exhaust gas circulation device comprises an intake line, outlet line and circulation line intended for directing a fraction of exhaust gases from exhaust line into intake line. Note here that gaseous fuel is injected at the pressure exceeding 12 MPa.
EFFECT: internal combustion engine with reduced blowout.
