FIELD: balloons for storage and transportation of gases and liquids under pressure, which may be used in survival systems and automobile constructions. SUBSTANCE: balloon has inner sealing thin-walled liner fabricated from stainless steel and including cylindrical shell and two bottoms welded to shell. Liner is provided with stainless steel rings disposed on inner and outer sides at bottom and shell junctions. Each junction has two pairs of rings, with two of rings embracing shell edges from outer and inner sides and two other rings embracing edges of bottom weldable to shell. Method involves welding bottom to perimeter of thin-walled (0.3-10 mm) cylindrical shell; winding composite resin-impregnated filaments; providing thermal treatment. Prior to welding bottoms to shell, stainless steel rings are pressed to outer and inner sides of shell and bottom edges. Shell and bottom edge ends together with rings pressed onto them are subjected to fusing and bottoms are joined to shell by butt welding.
