FIELD: gas bottles used for storage and transportation of compressed and liquefied gases. SUBSTANCE: proposed method reduces bending of fibers of inner layers of envelope made from composite material during winding outer layers, thus enhancing its rigidity. Proposed high-pressure composite bottle includes inner thin- walled metal envelope and outer load-bearing envelope made from composite material and having several layers of reinforcing material whose fibers are impregnated with binder; layers of fibers of reinforcing material are formed by alternating sections of fibers with different orientation of turns relative to bottle axis; sections of fibers with similar orientation of turns in each subsequent layer of load-bearing envelope are shifted relative to sections of the same orientation of turns in previous layers in such way that sections of fibers with similar orientation of turns in longitudinal section of load-bearing envelope are located in staggered order. Proposed method of manufacture of composite high-pressure bottle includes winding of turns of reinforcing material impregnated with binder on revolving inner envelope simultaneously in three tapes of reinforcing material passed through three heads of tape layer performing reciprocating motion along revolving envelope at different velocities relative to envelope generatrix.
